CAUSE OF DEATH: following a lengthy illness
DATE of DEATH: Monday, April 26, 1999
PLACE of DEATH: at his residence
DATE of BIRTH: July 14, 1922
PLACE of BIRTH: in Hungerford township, Plymouth Co. Iowa
PARENTS: son of Claus J. and Anna Marie (Prien) Junck
SPOUSE & DATE of MARRIAGE: Lois V. Schuldt, Nov. 5, 1948
PLACE OF MARRIAGE: in Sioux City, Iowa
OCCUPATION: He served in the U.S. Army with Troop C, 62nd Infantry Battalion, 14th Armored Division in Europe Theater during World War II. His awards and decorations include the Purple Heart. He was employed with Williams Pipeline for 37 years, retiring in 1987.
SURVIVORS: include a son, Michael, of Omaha; four daughters, Janet Kennedy, Sharon Yandrich and her husband, Michael, Sandy Brinkerhoff and her husband, Ron, and Kathy Morey, all of Sioux City; two sisters, Shirley Junck and Lois Marquis, both of Sioux City; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: Mrs. Junck died Jan. 13, 1982. He was also preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Alice Ruschmann and Joyce Rosene.
PLACE of BURIAL: Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, Iowa
