PARENTS: son of Charles and Emma (Anderton) Johnson
SPOUSE & DATE of MARRIAGE: Berneice Reid, May 14, 1943
PLACE OF MARRIAGE: LeMars, Iowa
OCCUPATION: After graduation in 1930, he barbered in Akron, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He lived with his wife in Sioux City and Rock Rapids where he barbered. In 1948, they purchased the barber shop in Hawarden. He operated the shop until 1978, when they moved to Sioux Falls. He became barber at Sioux Falls Senior Citizens Center, where he worked until March 2001.
SURVIVORS: include his wife; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Johnson of Alcester, S.D.; and Everine Bradshaw of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and many nieces and nephews.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: sixteen brothers and sisters.
