Dolores Woll-Hall, 88, of Le Mars, died Saturday July 12, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, after a brief illness.

The former Dolores M. Hoffmann was born June 9, 1920, in Merrill, the daughter of John and Katherine (Wiltgen) Hoffmann. She grew up in the Merrill area and graduated from St. Joseph's Catholic High School in Le Mars. Dolores married Leonard J. Woll Jan. 16, 1940, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church -- Ellendale. The couple farmed for a while west of Le Mars and moved to Le Mars in 1950. Leonard died in October 1957. Following her husband's death, she was employed as an office deputy with the Plymouth County Sheriffs Dept. for many years.

Dolores married Floyd Hall on April 8, 1994, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Le Mars. Floyd died March 18, 1999.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Church Guild in Le Mars. She was also a member of The Christian Mothers Society and a 50-year member and Past Grand Regent of the Catholic Daughters of America.

Dolores enjoyed bowling, fishing, traveling, quilting and craftwork.

Survivors include her six children: Lea Woll of Detroit, Mich., Larry "Butch" Woll and his wife Jeanne of Le Mars, Paul Woll and his wife Lois of Worthington, Minn., Denny Woll and his wife Phyllis of Le Mars, Ed Woll and his wife Alice of Omaha, Neb., and Mark Woll and his wife Robynne of Omaha, Neb.; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Leonard; her second husband V.F. "Floyd" Hall; a brother Jack Hoffmann; and a sister Xaveris Kelley.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Le Mars with the Rev. Kevin Richter presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars.

Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today (Monday) at the Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars. A combined rosary by the Christian Mothers and Catholic Daughters will be held at 4 p.m. and the Scriptural wake service at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

There will also be one hour of visitation at the church prior to funeral services.
