Carl D. Detloff
1915-1991

Carl was born December 21, 1915 in LeMars, Iowa.
He was the son of William and Lydia (Pech) Detloff. He married Rose Wittner on June 22, 1947 in Clubertson, Nebraska. Carl and Rose came to live in Sturgis in 1951.

As a member of Trinity Carl was an active member of the Lutheran Laymen's League, served as a church usher and took part in many other congregational activities.

He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was employed by Glabman Paramount Furniture Company for 40 years.

Surviving are his wife Rose; one daughter, Mrs. Carol Cole, East Lansing; one son Richard Detloff, Pomona, California.; two grand children Peter and Lorraine Cole both of East Lansing; three brothers Warren Detloff, Orinda, Califor.; Glen Detloff, Le Mars, Iowa; and Dr. Way Detloff, El Cerrito, Calif.; and several neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by the parents and two brothers, John Detloff and Robert Detloff.
