OCCUPATION: The couple made their home near Remsen, where they farmed until moving into Remsen in 1946. He was employed as a mechanic with Ritz Super Service and Cambier Motors in Remsen. He then owned and operated the J.I. Case Farm Implement dealership for many years.
SURVIVORS: include four sons, Gary of Remsen, Dale of Cherokee, Iowa, Darrel and his wife, Chris McDevitt of St. Augustine, Fla., and Tim and his wife, Deb, of Marcus, Iowa; three daughters, Patricia Merrick and JoAnn and her husband, Bob Joyce, all of Omaha, and Christy and her husband, Steve Pick, of Remsen; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Marie Wagner of LeMars; and a sister-in-law, Armella Galles of Remsen.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: His wife died May 15, 1998. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Hilary, Alphonse and Louis; and two sisters, Lenora Raher and Armella Heidesch.
