OCCUPATION: The couple farmed for many years near LeMars in America Township. In 1986, they retired and moved into LeMars.
SURVIVORS: include his wife; two sons and their wives; three daughters and their husbands; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters; a brother; and numerous nieces and nephews.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: two brothers, Bill and Gerhard; two sisters in infancy; and a grandson, Patrick Kurth.
