OCCUPATION: They farmed near Remsen until retiring in 1990. They moved into Remsen in December of 1994.
SURVIVORS: include her husband; four sons and their wives; three daughters; 23 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a sister, Geraldine Hodapp, of Canby, Minn.; a brother-in-law, Jude Galles, of Remsen; three sisters-in-law, Helen Plathe of Granville, Iowa, Mary Ann Hansen of Remsen, and Esther Gergen of Alton, Iowa.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: a grand son, Russ Galles; three brothers, Ferd, Melvin, and Joe Plathe; and two sisters, Bernice Galles and Melinda Kein.
PLACE of BURIAL: St. Mary’s Cemetery, Remsen, Iowa
