PARENTS: son of John P. and Louise (Sommer) Galles
SPOUSE & DATE of MARRIAGE: Edith Hoffman, June 22, 1939
PLACE OF MARRIAGE: in LeMars, Iowa
OCCUPATION: He was employed with Plymouth Co-op Oil Co. in LeMars. He had also worked in Alaska on the Alaska highway. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He returned to LeMars after his discharge. He then owned State Farm Insurance Agency until 195. From 1955-1061, he managed the Sears & Roebuck Store in LeMars. From 1961-1975, he was employed with Fischer Furniture in Rapid City, S.D. He returned to LeMars in 1975, where he retired.
SURVIVORS: include a son and his wife, Robert and Toni of Sioux City; a daughter, Julie and Ronald Kunkel of Moville, Iowa; three grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Galles of Mishawaka, Ind.; and a niece.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: his wife and a brother, William.
