PARENTS: son of John and Elizabeth (Masuen) Fiedler
SPOUSE & DATE of MARRIAGE: 1st marr: Xaveris Kilker on Sept. 23, 1943; 2nd marr: LaVonne Kunkel on May 13, 1953.
PLACE OF MARRIAGE: 1st marr: LeMars, Iowa; 2nd marr: Alton, Iowa
OCCUPATION: He farmed near Oyens from 1942 to 1966. In 1966 they moved to Storm Lake, Iowa, where he was employed at various jobs. In 1974 they moved to Remsen, where he was employed at Midwest Service. In 1979, he started his own trucking business, which he operated until retiring in 1988.
SURVIVORS: include his wife; nine sons; five daughters; 32 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister and her husband, Loretta and Cletus Hansen of Fort Dodge, Iowa; a brother-in-law, Vincent Streff of Sheldon, Iowa; and a sister-in-law, Kathryn “Kitty” Fiedler of Remsen.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: His first wife died Sept. 28, 1952. Also preceded in death by his parents; a daughter-in-law, Stephanie Fiedler; a grandson, Shane Feller; a brother, Arnold; and two sisters, Hildegarde “Sis” Streff and Leona Hoffman.
PLACE of BURIAL: Burial will be in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Oyens, Iowa
