PLACE OF MARRIAGE: Dakota City, Nebraska
OCCUPATION: The couple lived in Norfolk, Neb., where they owned and operated a gas transport and gas station. The later moved to San Pedro, Calif, where they both worked in shipyards during World War II. They returned to Iowa where they were involved in a sand and gravel operation near Moville, Flewelling Construction, and engaged in farming until their semi-retirement in 1978.
SURVIVORS: include three sons and their wives, James and Ailene of Kingsley, Richard and JoAnne of Canyon Lake, Calif., and Michael and Marsha of Plano, Texas; two sisters, Mildred Hutanen of Grass Valley, Calif., Vera Reppert of Fresno, Calif.; two sisters-in-law, Rachael Bardsley of Pleasanton, Calif., and Bernice Bardsley, of Rochester, Minn.; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: her parents; her husband; two brothers, Ray and Charlie; three sisters, Myrtle Luaddell, Fern Lull and Phyllis Johansen.
