OCCUPATION: He farmed in Hawarden for a few years, then moved to Sioux City. He was employed as a machinist with Wincharger Corp. for more than 35 years. He also maintained his own tool grinding business.
SURVIVORS: include his wife; two daughters, Beverly and her husband, Bruce Kolbe, and Marcella Frazier, all of Sioux City; two sons and their wives, Charles and Jan of Janesville, Iowa, and John and Debbie of Olewein, Iowa; two sisters, Alma Koob of Hawarden, and Francella and her husband, John Schaber of Spokane, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; and two great granddaughters.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: a sister, Florence Richardson; and a great grandchild.
