PARENTS: the son of Meril and Zora (Galland) Elliott
SPOUSE & DATE of MARRIAGE: Lucille Peebles, Aug. 13, 1931
PLACE OF MARRIAGE: Elk Point, S.D.
OCCUPATION: He worked at the lumber yard in Craig for a few years and later at the elevator in Craig. He later worked for Security Savings Bank in Craig for 37 years, retiring from banking in 1974 as vice president and branch manager. He then worked part time at the bank in Craig and also had worked at the Plymouth County Courthouse, Harkers and at a bank in Sioux City.
SURVIVORS: include his wife; a son and his wife, Dennis and Karen Elliott of Fremont, Neb.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Vera Baack of LeMars.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: a brother, Glenn, and a sister, Hazel.
PLACE of BURIAL: [place not specifically stated] “Services will be held Saturday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Craig with the Rev. David Kramer officiating. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home.”
