BRYAN J. DREESZEN

WESTFIELD, Iowa—Bryan John Dreeszen, 84, died Thursday in an Akron hospital of brief illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Westfield Congregational Church. The Rev. Harold Sieglaff will officiate. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery in Sioux City. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Hoschler American Legion Post 186 of Akron. A prayer service will be Sunday at 7 p.m. in the Schroeder Funeral Home at Akron.

Mr. Dreeszen was born August 11, 1896, at Correctionville. He married Fern Mulheron April 24, 1923, at Adaville.

They farmed in the Westfield area until retiring in 1968 when they moved to Westfield. He entered an Akron nursing home in 1980.

He served in the U.S. Navy in World War I and was a 61 year legion member. He was a member of the Plymouth County barracks 1507, Veterans of World War I.

Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Lowell (Arlene) Morehead of Westfield and Mrs. Donald (Doris) Brundeen of Akron; one sister, Mrs. Russell (Ferne) Embick of Concord, Calif.; one brother Roy of Westfield; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
