HELEN DIEDIKER

Helen Diediker, 94, a former Sioux City resident, died Monday, Aug. 5, 1991, at Brentwood Nursing Home in LeMars after a lengthy illness.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Calvary Lutheran Church with the Rev. Gerald Kapanka officiating. Burial will be in Rademacher Cemetery near Hinton, Iowa. Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. today at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel.

Mrs. Diediker, the former Helen Hardersen, was born Nov. 21, 1896, in Kingsley, Iowa. She attended rural Plymouth County schools. She married Herman Diediker Feb. 14, 1917, in Plymouth County. They farmed in Plymouth County for several years before moving into Hinton. They moved to Sioux City in 1957. Mr. Diediker died here in December of 1981.

Mrs. Diediker was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of Calvary Lutheran Church and a member of the Golden Age Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Gladys Wachter of rural Hinton and Shirley Woolworth of El Cerrito, Calif.; a sister, Margaret Muecke of Hinton; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and a great great granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be Dennis, Duane, Marc, Derek and Matthew Wachter and Bradley Woolworth.
