PLYMOUTH COUNTY, Iowa -- Arthur C. Miller, 90, of Plymouth County died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at a Le Mars, Iowa, nursing home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Alan Wicks officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City.
Mr. Miller was born Nov. 23, 1911, at Ridge Road in Plymouth County, to Charles David Crocket Miller and Isabelle (Pittman) Miller. He graduated from Central High School with the class of 1928.
He married the former Pearl Bonnes in Sac City, Iowa, in 1935. He was a lifelong farmer in Plymouth County and worked for Swift and Co. for 31 years.
He was a member of First Lutheran Church and several card clubs.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl; a son, James A. Miller of Plymouth County; a daughter and her husband, Joan and Gene Nugent of Yankton, S.D.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Edward Miller; two sisters; and five brothers.
