GERALD C. SCHEITLER

Gerald C. Scheitler, 54, of LeMars, died Sunday, March 23, 1997, at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars.

Gerald Charles Scheitler was born Jan. 23, 1943, in LeMars, the son of Leo and Della (Kramer) Scheitler. He had been a resident of The Abbey of LeMars since Sept. 19, 1994.

Survivors include three brothers, John Scheitler and Tom Scheitler, both of Sioux City, and Jim Scheitler and his wife, Lois, of LeMars; two nephews, Rob Scheitler and Marc Scheitler, both of LeMars, and two nieces, Mrs. Mike (Jan) Feller and Joyce Scheitler, both of LeMars.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Mass of Resurrection will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Merrill, with the Rev. Richard Ball officiating. Burial will be in St. Catherine’s Cemetery at Oyens. There will be no visitation. The Feuerstein Funeral Home of LeMars is in charge of arrangements.
