Glennice Card, 71, of Knoxville, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at Westridge Nursing and Rehab Center.
The former Glennice Radloff was born April 14, 1936, in Le Mars, the daughter of Hubert and Verna Trometer Radloff. She attended country school in Plymouth County and graduated from Le Mars High School in 1954.
She was an active 4-H member and was also involved in her church youth group and choir.
She attended Wartburg College in Waverly, where she received her associate degree and met Giles Card. they were married on Jan. 21, 1956, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Merrill, her home church. They lived in Rowley and Council Bluffs before moving to Knoxville in 1965.
Glennice retired from teaching in 2000 after 35 years with the Knoxville School District.
Survivors include a son, Grant and his wife Joann of Santa Fe, N.M.; one brother, Larry Radloff and his wife, Rosemary of Le Mars; two sisters, Mary Ann Kehrberg and her husband, Dan, of Fairmont, Minn., and Nancy Delgado of Rochester, N.H.; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Greg in 1981, her husband, Giles in March of this year; and one brother, Norman.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the Evans-McCleery Funeral Home in Knoxville, with pastor Kirk A. Erwin officiating. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.
