MOVILLE, Iowa -- Eileen Robeson, 92, of Moville passed away Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at Char-Mac Assisted Living in Lawton, Iowa.

Services will be 10 a.m. today at Kingsley United Methodist Church in Kingsley, Iowa, with the Rev. Roger Kurtenbach officiating. Burial will be in Kingsley Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Rohde-Earnest Funeral Home in Kingsley.

Eileen Elizabeth Robeson was born July 26, 1915, in Quorn, Iowa, the daughter of Michael and Deborah (Bann) Turkington. She graduated from Kingsley High School in 1934. Following high school, she worked at Joe Levy's Grocery Store in Kingsley.

On Sept. 23, 1936, she and Marlin G. Robeson were united in marriage at First Presbyterian Church in Sioux City. The couple made their home in Sioux City for a brief time and later moved to a farm near Marcus, Iowa. After World War II, the couple moved to Kingsley. They operated a Case implement dealership in downtown Kingsley for a few years. They would later turn the building into a roller skating rink. The Robeson family operated the rink until 1953, when they moved to a family farm near Moville. During their retirement years, the couple spent winters in Texas and Arizona. Marlin passed away on June 29, 1997. She remained on the family farm for a few months before moving to the Kingsley Nursing and Rehab Center. She moved to Char-Mac Assisted Living on Sept. 10, 2001.

She was a 75-year member of Kingsley United Methodist Church. She was a 60-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She volunteered her time with the Republican Party as well as helping others at Kingsley Nursing and Rehab and Char-Mac Assisted Living.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Pat Robeson and his wife, Lynette of Moville and Gary Robeson of Sioux City; grandchildren, Kelly and her husband, Jim Salker of Sergeant Bluff, Heidy Robeson of Sioux City and Brandee and her husband, Clint Koedam of Sergeant Bluff; and great-grandchildren, Cole, Cody and Emma Salker and Ty and Bo Koedam.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marlin; a brother, William Turkington; and a sister, Ann Brown.
