Many old friends and former neighbors here of Guy Kesner were grieved to hear of his sudden death Sunday at his home in Liberty township. Death was due to diabetes. Mr. Kesner was born at Sloan, Ia., November 18, 1898. He received his education in the Sloan school. He resided on the Walter Sloan farm several years and moved from there to his present home.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the Methodist church in Merrill, Rev. M.B. Phillips officiating. Burial was in the Merrill cemetery.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Minnie Kesner; four sisters, Sister Beniga of St. Vincent’s hospital in Sioux City; Mrs. Ernest Campbell of Merrill; Mrs. J.B. Bridewater of Ashville, N.C.; and Mrs. Walter Knudsen, of Reedpoint, Mont.; and five brothers, Arvin Kesner of Sioux City; Ray and Claude of Leeds; James and Clyde of Los Angeles. His father died last October and his mother died 16 years ago.
