PETER A. TROMETER
Peter A. Trometer, 83, Merrill native and lifelong resident, died Sunday (April 22, 1979) at St. Joseph hospital, Sioux City, after a brief illness.
He was born Jan. 20, 1896, at Merrill to George and Caroline Kress Trometer. He was a retired farmer.
His marriage to Louise V. Kramm took place Aug. 29, 1917, at Elk Point. He was a member of St. John American Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at St. John American Lutheran Church, Merrill. Rev. Harold Norheim will officiate and burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Merrill, under the direction of the Luken-Johnson Funeral Home.
A prayer service will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors are his wife, Louise, Merrill; a son, Robert Trometer, Merrill; three daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Geraldine) Wieck, Mrs. Walt (Darlene) Roehrich and Mrs. Lawrence (Georgana) Blackmore, all of Hinton; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a brother, William Trometer, Merrill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister and a son.
