HELMER OLUND

Helmer Olund, 56, Merrill, died Thursday at Farmington, Minn., of injuries suffered six days earlier in an automobile accident near Farmington.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Methodist Church in Merrill. Rev. Gale Hawhee officiated. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery at Merrill under the direction of the Luken funeral home of LeMars.

Mr. Olund was born November 6, 1902, in Sweden. He came to the United States in 1922 and in 1929 returned to Sweden where he married Greta Nessler.

Mr. Olund came to the United States in 1922. In 1929 he moved to Akron and lived there 9 years and then moved to Merrill where he resided since.

Survivors are the widow; a daughter, Margaret Ann at home; two sons, Trygve of Sioux City, and Lenmart of Merrill; six brothers, including Eric of Akron, Ia., and Swen of Harris, Minn.; one brother in Canada and three in Sweden and three grandsons.
