DONALD BAUERLY

Donald G. Bauerly, 61, rural LeMars, died Monday (Oct. 27, 1980) at St. Joseph’s hospital, Sioux City, after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in LeMars. Rev. George McFadden will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery, Lincoln Township, under the direction of the Luken-Johnson Funeral Home.

There will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Bauerly was born Aug. 3, 1919, in Plymouth County to George and Gertrude Knipple Bauerly. He was a lifelong Plymouth county resident and had lived on the same farm since he was three years old.

He was a member of St. James church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Irene M. Sitzman and Mr. Bauerly were married Aug. 23, 1941, in Sioux City.

Survivors are his wife, Irene, Brunsville; a son, Richard, of LeMars; three grandchildren, and a sister, Mabel Earley of Toledo, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
