AKRON, Iowa - Marie C. McInnis, 92, of Akron died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at Akron Care Center.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Wesley United Methodist Church in Akron, with the Rev. Marion Sindt officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron.
Mrs. McInnis was born Dec. 23, 1907, in Chatsworth, Iowa, the daughter of Peter and Hannah (Westergard) Jepsen.
She married John McInnis on Nov. 8, 1924. He died in 1969.
The couple farmed in the Akron area for many years. They retired in 1968 and moved into Akron.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and women's group. She enjoyed crocheting and yard and garden work.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Jack and Doris of Westfield, Iowa; a daughter and her husband, Joan and Jerry Blake of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lois Milbrodt; a grandson, Jerry Milbrodt; five sisters, Christina, Anna, Julia, Nellie and Mae; and a brother, Louis.
Pallbearers will be Steve and Greg McInnis, Kenneth and Mark Lang, Jim Blake and Travis Stevens.
