ERNEST PAULSON
Funeral services for Ernest William Paulson, 71, who died Saturday at a Sioux City hospital after a short sickness, will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Kingsley Methodist church. Burial will be in a Kingsley cemetery under the direction of the Dickison funeral home.

Mr. Paulson was born August 25, 1881, in Sweden. He came to the United States with his parents as a small boy. The family first located at Sioux City, later moving to Arthur, Ia.

He married Rosa Sweed, June 11, 1906, at Kiron, Ia.

He was a resident of Plymouth County, Ia., for the last 28 years. He operated a welding shop in Kingsley for the last 16 years.

Survivors are the widow; a daughter, Miss Verona Paulson of Kingsley; a son, Verle, Kingsley; four brothers, Carl, Arthur and Alger, all of Boyer, Ia., and Arvin, Kingsley; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Lingle of Denison, Ia., and Mrs. Delia Wonnell of Arthur.

E. W. Paulson Expires After Heart Attack, Was Kingsley Inventor

Ernest William Paulson, 71, a resident of Kingsley for the past 16 years, died at Methodist hospital in Sioux City Saturday, August 1, after a short illness. Mr. Paulson was suffering from a heart ailment.

He was born August 25, 1881 in Smaland, Sweden. His family moved to Sioux City in 1886, then to Arthur. He also lived at Hinton before coming to Kingsley where he operated a blacksmith, welding and machine shop. He is the holder of 20 patents on various mechanical tools.

He was married to Rosa Sweed June 11, 1906 at Sac City, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife Rosa, two children, Vernona and Verle, of Kingsley; four brothers, Carl Arthur and Alger of Boyer, Iowa; Arvin of Kingsley; two sisters, Edith Lingle, of Denison and Delia Wonnell, of Arthur.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, August 4, from the Kingsley Methodist church, with Rev. Everett Major in charge. Interment was in the Kingsley cemetery under direction of the Dickison funeral home.
