Vance L. Wise
Vance L. Wise, 65, was found dead Tuesday at the Plaza hotel in Sioux City, where he had roomed for several months.
Dr. Thomas L. Coriden, coroner, said that Mr. Wise had suffered coronary thrombosis. Authorities said that a maid discovered his body in a bathroom and called the manager, who notified police.
Mr. Wise was born October 24, 1887, at Akron, Ia. He came to Sioux City in 1929 as a trainman for the Chicago and Northwestern railroad. He retired from the railroad February 20, 1953.
He was a member of the Eagles lodge and the Teutonia club.
Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Betty Jean Baker and Mrs. Margaret Natclich, both of Sioux City, Mrs. Dewey Maynard of Akron, Mrs. Mildred Macek of I1iff, Colo., and Mrs. Lillian Prosser of Norwalk, Cal.
The Rutledge funeral home has charge of arrangements.
