Obituary.
Mrs. J. N. Kissinger died at her home east of town on Wednesday morning. She had been in poor health for several months and symptoms of consumption developed and since the birth of a child about four weeks ago she rapidly failed. Her death is a severe shock to her many friends and relatives.
The decedent was born in Fond du Lac county, Wisconsin, in 1871 and came with her parents to Plymouth county when four or five years old. She was united in marriage with J. U. (sic--J. N.) Kissinger at LeMars on October 6, 1894. She leaves three children, the eldest four years old and the youngest a baby only four weeks old.
Mrs. Kissinger was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Remer, of this city, and leaves eight brothers and three sisters. They are William, Otto, Fred, Charles, Louis, Ben and Harry, of this county, and Edward, who lives at Mason City; her sisters are Mrs. Wessenberg, of Pope, Iowa; Mrs. Lydia Gralapp and Miss Emma Remer who reside here.
The funeral was held on Friday afternoon at the German M. E. church, Rev. H. Kaste and Dr. Thoren officiating and was very largely attended.
