MRS. DORA LONG
Mrs. John Frank (Dora) Long of Struble, passed away on April 12, 1957, at her home. She had been ailing for several years and was 82 years of age.
Dora Mae Smith was born December 13, 1874, at Melbourne, Iowa. She was married to John Long on July 7, 1897, at LeMars.
The couple lived near Struble until 1912 at which time they moved to Struble where they had since resided. Her husband passed away in 1956.
Funeral services were held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at Struble at 9:00 a.m. Monday, April 15, with Rev. Father Robert Keefe officiating. Burial was in the LeMars city cemetery under direction of Mauer’s funeral home.
Survivors include children, George Long, of Mission Hill, South Dakota; Royal E. and Chester A. Long, of Struble; Francis R. Long, of LeMars; Mrs. Ray (Carol) Diller of Marshalltown; Mrs.Clark (Rose) Bolser of Cedar Falls; Mrs. Bernard (Myrna) Anderson, of Sioux City.
Also surviving are 20 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Florence Osborn of California.
