Mrs. George E. Lau

Mrs. George E. Lau, 89, route 1, Hinton, died Friday night (Feb. 2, 1974) at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

Services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Anderson-Perasso Funeral home, Sioux City.

Rev. Roger E. Klenz, pastor of Calvary Lutheran church, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Sioux City.

Mrs. Lau, the former Edna M. Ideker, was born Oct. 16, 1904 at Merrill.

She was married Feb. 28, 1927 at Hinton.

Mrs. Lau was a former Plymouth county school teacher and a lifelong resident of the Merrill and Hinton vicinity.

She was a member of Calvary Lutheran church, Sioux City.

Survivors are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Peterson of Cherokee and Mrs. Marilyn Stolpe of Denver; a brother, Roy Ideker, Merrill; two sisters, Mrs. Vera Endorf, Sioux City, and Mrs. Mildred Lang, Merrill, and six grandchildren.
