OBITUARY
MRS. MARGARETHA PETERSENMrs. Margaretha Petersen, 81, LeMars, died Wednesday at Floyd Valley Hospital after a years’ illness. She had been a patient at the hospital since July 12.
The former Margaretha Michael who was a lifelong Plymouth county resident, she was born July 16, 1888, in Johnson township where she since resided. Her marriage to Henry W. Petersen took place April 23, 1923, in LeMars. Her parents were the late B. H. and Eva Michael.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Mauer funeral home. Rev. Harold Norheim will officiate and burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens near LeMars.
Survivors are her husband, Henry, rural LeMars; three daughters, Mrs. Alburn (Ruth) Woockman, Hartington, Neb.; Mrs. Donald (Dora) Singer, LeMars; and Mrs. Leonard (Esther) Pauling, Granville; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers.
