LLOYD BALDWIN

Lloyd Dwight Baldwin, 82, route 2, Merrill, a Plymouth county native and lifelong resident, died Tuesday evening (Nov. 8, 1977) at Plymouth Manor in LeMars.

He was born Nov. 21, 1894, in Plymouth county to Joseph and Sophronia Wright Baldwin. He had farmed his entire life in the Merrill-Akron vicinity.

Anna Marie Heeren and Mr. Baldwin were married March 26, 1922, at Akron. He was a member of the Adaville United Methodist Church and was a veteran of World War I. He was a member of the American Legion and the Farm Bureau.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Adaville United Methodist Church, rural Merrill, with Rev. J. Milton Kinney officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery at Adaville under the direction of the Mauer funeral home in LeMars.

A prayer service will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Mauer funeral home.

Survivors are his wife, Anna Marie of rural Merrill; four sons, Ardythe Baldwin, Milford; Lowell Baldwin, rural Merrill; LuVerne Baldwin, Harrison, Ark.; and Marlin Baldwin, Sioux City; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Clarence Baldwin, South Sioux City, Neb.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister and four brothers.
