JOHN PAULIN
KILLED IN AUTO CRASHFuneral services for John W. Paulin, 35, former LeMars resident who was killed in a car accident Feb. 18, in Long Beach, Calif., will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Methodist Church here.
Rev. Milo Morris of the First Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens here under the direction of the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home.
Born Dec. 16, 1927, at Kingsley, Mr. Paulin was a chief machinist mate in the navy. At the time of his death, he was serving aboard the USS Cacapona at San Pedro, Calif.
His parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Paulin, of LeMars, did not learn of their son’s death until last Thursday when they made a routine telephone call home, despite efforts of officials to locate them in Mexico where the couple had been vacationing. Also surviving is a brother, Donald, of Kingsley.
