LLOYD KEEHN

HAWARDEN, Iowa --- Lloyd Henry Keehn, 89, of Hawarden died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Hawarden.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Hawarden, with the Rev. Stuart Schreur officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Garden Cemetery, LeMars, Iowa. Visitation will begin at noon today at Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden.

Mr. Keehn was born May 4, 1911, near Hawarden, the son of Henry and Della (Patrick) Keehn. He was baptized in the Baptist faith. He attended rural school near Hawarden.

He married Nelle Ritter on Sept. 5, 1951, in South Sioux City. He farmed and later shelled corn and trucked. He had been a resident of Hillcrest Health Care Center for three years.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Logan Township School Board, and served on the board of Sioux County REC. He enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter and her husband, Marjane and Richard Burgard of Sioux Falls, S.D.; two step-daughters, Cornelia Hillrichs of LeMars and Ivagen and her husband, Robert Branstiter of Abbotsford, Wis.; a brother, Lawrence of Hawarden; a sister Hazel Wasser of Hawarden; six grandchildren, Krista and Brian Burgard, Linda Prieksat, Gary, Greg and Gaylene Branstiter; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Kay Keehn; and a grandson, Mark Hillrichs.
