STEINAR JORDAHL

Steinar L. Jordahl, 88, of Marcus died at Sacred Heart hospital Thursday afternoon, Feb. 20, following a brief illness. He moved to Marcus from LeMars in 1951. Born in Norway June 23, 1875, he lived in North Dakota as a young man.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret of Marcus: five sons, Bernhard Jordahl of Akron; Kenmar of Marcus; Randolph of North Hollywood, Calif.; Julius of Bloomfield, Colo.; and Norman of the Air Force in Germany; one daughter, Mrs. Gundrun Johnson of LeMars; two step-sons, Orlo Johnson of Castana and Emil Johnson of LeMars; one step-daughter, Mrs. Lucille Jordahl of Marcus; also 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. One brother, Rev. Edward Jordahl of Dodgeville, Wis., and one sister, Anna Ekren of Norway also survive.

Funeral services were Monday at 2 p.m. from Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Oyens, with Rev. Carl Rossmann officiating. Burial was in Resthaven Memory Gardens here.
