DON FAIRCHILD

Funeral services for Don L. Fairchild, 43, who was killed Wednesday night in a car-train collision, are pending the arrival of relatives from Texas and California.

Rev. Milo Morris will officiate and burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens under the direction of Luken’s funeral home. Military rites will be accorded by Wasmer post, American Legion.

Mr. Fairchild was manager of Resthaven Memory Gardens, a landscaped cemetery which he established here three years ago. The family moved to LeMars in 1960 from Sioux Rapids.

Donald L. Fairchild was born Dec. 17, 1919, at Sioux Rapids. His marriage to Frances Bushey took place May 3, 1947, at Jackson, Minn.

Surviving are his wife, Frances of 620 1st Ave. SE; two sons, Larry and Kippy Lee, both at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fairchild of Sioux Rapids; a sister and brothers, Mrs. Vernon Mortenson of Royal, Iowa, and Irving Fairchild, of Spencer.

Mr. Fairchild was a member of the Amerian Legion, Elks lodge, and First Methodist Church here and the Moose lodge at Yankton, S.D.
