IRVIN SCHINDEL DIES, HOLD RITES TUESDAY
Irvin Schindel, 53, of Merrill, died Saturday, Nov. 29, at the Methodist hospital in Sioux City after an illness of several years.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 2 o’clock at the Mauer funeral chapel. The Rev. Clarence Ketterling will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Melbourne cemetery.
Irvin Anton Schindel was born Nov. 23, 1894, in Melbourne, Plymouth county. He had been employed as a fireman at the airbase but was retired at the time of his death.
He spent his entire life in the Merrill vicinity except for the time he spent in World War I.
Survivors include two brothers, Allen and Harry A. Schindel, both of Merrill and two sisters, Mrs. Jestina Larson of Odebolt and Mrs. Rosa Meechan, Palo Alto, Calif.
