MRS. LESTER RITER

Word was received here of the death of Mrs. Lester L. Riter former Ireton resident on Friday, June 28, at St. Anne's Hospital at Algona, Iowa, following a short sickness with an internal infection.

Audra Sidwell Riter was born March 16, 1904, at Havlock, Ia., and when a small child moved with her family to Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Later they moved to Craig, Iowa, where her father conducted a general store. She attended Morningside College at Sioux City and later taught school in this area. On August 4, 1926, she was united in marriage with Lester L. Riter and for a number of years they lived in Ireton where he conducted an implement shop and hardware store. Later they moved to Algona where she resided until her death.

Beside the widower she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Mary J. Sidwell and three sisters, Benita and Zella Sidwell and Mrs. Warren Nanniga, all of Sioux City. She was a member of the Methodist church and funeral services were held Monday, July 1, at the Algona Methodist Church at Algona, Ia. Interment was in Riverview Cemetery at that place.
