Louise Coover

KINGSLEY, Iowa -- Louise Bowers Coover, 78, of Pasadena, Calif., formerly of Kingsley, died Sunday, April 27, 2003, at her residence.

Memorial services will be at a later date at United Methodist Church in Kingsley.

Mrs. Coover was born April 19, 1925, in Kingsley, the daughter of Harold and Ellen (Erlandson) Bowers. She graduated from Kingsley High School, Morningside College in 1955 and received her master's degree from the University of South Dakota in 1957.

She married Orlie Coover on Dec. 27, 1946, in Hornick, Iowa. Mr. Coover died Nov. 24, 1980. She later married William Larson.

She taught in Holly Springs, Hornick and Mapleton, Iowa, before teaching at Washington Elementary School and East Junior High School in Sioux City. She completed her career as the principal of Pasadena High School in Pasadena, Calif.

She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Millard (Genevieve) Summers of Greenfield, Iowa, and Mrs. Vince (Maxine) March of Kingsley; and many nieces and nephews.
