HENRY B. AHRENDT

Henry B. Ahrendt, 85, LeMars, a Plymouth County native and lifelong area resident, died Monday (March 5, 1990) at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Christ Lutheran Church, Grant Township, rural LeMars, with Rev. Jack Hebard officiating. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery under direction of the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Thursday with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

He was born Feb. 11, 1905, in Grant Township to Fred and Gascke Cramer Ahrendt. He was a lifelong member of the Christ Lutheran Church.

His marriage to Helen Heeren took place Sept. 9, 1941, at Christ Lutheran Church.

Survivors are his wife, Helen, LeMars; a son, Paul Ahrendt, Lincoln, Neb., and a daughter, Mary Ann Barton of Fargo, N.D.; six grandchildren, Mark Barton of Fargo and Travis, Tami, Traci, Teri and Toni Ahrendt of Lincoln; three sisters, Amanda Renken, Mrs. Carl (Marie) Renken and Mrs. Fred (Rieka) Otto, all of LeMars; three brothers, Fred Ahrendt, Spokane, Wash., Carl Ahrendt and Bennie Ahrendt, all of LeMars.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Emma.
