Benjamin Alan Brown, 21, of Sioux City died Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at the Le Mars, Iowa hospital.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 5 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Brown was born Aug. 22, 1980, in Sioux City, the son of David A. and Pamela S. (Harrison) Brown. He grew up in Sioux City and attended Blessed Sacrament Grade School and Heelan High School.

He worked for Halman Construction and United Rental. Most recently, he was a chef at Theo's Restaurant. He received a black belt in Tae Kwon Do from Lay's Martial Arts. he loved to draw and was a cartoonist.

Survivors include his mother, Pamela S. Brown of Sioux City; his father, David A. Brown of Sioux City; a brother, Samuel Brown of Des Moines; maternal grandmother, Mary Harrison of Sioux City; paternal grandmother, Marilyn Brown of Bellevue, Neb.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ralph "Jiggs" Harrison; and an aunt, Betty Fischer.
