OYENS, Iowa -- Rosalie Loutsch, 62, of Oyens died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at her residence.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Oyens, with the Rev. Randy Schoen and Monsignor Nicholas J. Ruba officiating. Burial will be in St. Catherine's Cemetery in Oyens. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with a Christian Mothers rosary at 3 p.m. and a vigil prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen, Iowa.

Mrs. Loutsch was born June 6, 1939, in New London, Wis., the daughter of James and Jeanette (Jarvais) Lehman. She was raised in Bear Creek, Wis., until the age of 3, when she moved with her family to Minneapolis. When she was 8 years old she moved with her family to Dundas, Minn. She attended Bethlehem Academy at Faribault, Minn., from which she graduated in 1957. She then attended Briar Cliff College in Sioux City, where she met her husband, William Loutsch of Le Mars, Iowa. They were married on June 27, 1959, in Northfield, Minn. They made their home in Oyens where they farmed until retiring on the farm in 1999.

She was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church and the church guild, Christian Mothers, and Northwest Iowa Deanery. She enjoyed her grandchildren, sewing, baking, gardening and traveling. Her last project was putting the St. Catherine Church Centennial cookbook together.

Survivors include her husband; five sons and their wives, William J. and Vonnie and their children, Becky, Megan and James, Mark and Lori and their children, Adam, Melissa, Samantha, Jack and Brooke, Jerry and Tracy and their children, Courtney and Jacob, all of Le Mars, Iowa, Michael and Renee of Sioux City, and Matthew and Susan and their daughter, Marissa of Oyens; three daughters, Jeannette Loutsch of Jonesboro, Ark., Maggie Loutsch and her friend, Roberto Martinez-Ochoa of Dakota City, and Elizabeth and her husband, Ron Shafer and their children, Abbey and Elsie of Mount Ayr, Iowa; two brothers and their wives, James H. and Barbara Lehman of Rochester, Minn., and Gary and Beth Lehman of Chanhassen, Minn.; and a sister and her husband, Judy and Kenny Kaul of Northfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers will be Andy Fiedler, Pete Kaul, Chris Lehman, Adam Loutsch, Eric Mitchall and Don Schmieg.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Siouxland Regional Cancer Center in Sioux City.
