Charlotte Andersen

Charlotte Andersen, 86, of LeMars, died unexpectedly Wednesday (November 26, 1986) at her home.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 1, at St. John's American Lutheran Church in LeMars. Reverend Tom Lee, will officiate. Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, LeMars. Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home of LeMars is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Andersen was born December 9, 1899, and Fredonia Township to Thorvald and Sophie (Nielsen) Kloster. She married Ole D. Andersen, February 22, 1921, at Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oyens.

Mrs. Andersen worked as a homemaker and moved to LeMars from Fredonia Township. In 1932.

Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Maurice (Helen) Harms, Mrs. William (Florence) Grosenheider, Mrs. Willard (Estella) Herman and Mrs. Gordon (Marlene) Criswell, all of LeMars, and Mrs. Virgil (Hazel) Johnson of Battle Creek; four sons, Russell of Paullina, Ronald of Montrose, Colo., Robert of Sioux City and Richard of Burnsville, Minn.; and adopted son, Jerry, of Aurora, Colo.; 30 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; four step grandchildren; 24 step great-grandchildren; 24 step great great grandchildren; two brothers, Nels Kloster of Remsen and Jens Koster, of LeMars; one sister, Herlig Petersen, of LeMars.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1970; her parents; four sisters, Laurentina Nielsen, Christine Miller, Annie Kunath and Edith Wallinga; one brother, Nis Kloster; and a step granddaughter, Lois Humphrey.
