Lucille A. Parry

Lucille A. Parry, 74, 2211 S. Nicollet St., died Tuesday at Countryside Retirement Home following a long illness.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Kingsley, Iowa, Cemetery followed by a 1:30 p.m. memorial service at the Morningside Presbyterian Church in Sioux City. The Rev. Arthur K. Beumler will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today with the family present from 6 to 8 and a prayer service at 7:30 at the Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel.

Mrs. Parry, the former Lucille Adeline Henderson, was born July 14, 1911, in Kingsley. She graduated from Kingsley High School and attended Morningside College. She taught for five years in rural schools in the Kingsley area.

On May 25, 1937, she married Gilbert F. Parry in Kingsley. The couple moved to Sioux City in 1946.

She was a member of Morningside Presbyterian Church, where she served as ordained elder and deacon, past president of United Presbyterian Women, former chancel choir member, leader of the adult Sunday school class and numerous other positions.

Mrs. Parry was also past president of the Morningside Riparian Study Club and a member of Chapter KE P. E. O., Morningside Chapter No. 502 Order of the Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary and St. Luke's Regional Medical Center Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband and several cousins.

Memorials have been established at the Morningside Presbyterian Church and the American Cancer Society in her name.
