Wednesday, November 29, 2006; Hazel Rose Ellen Junck, 95, of Kingsley, died Tuesday, November 28,2006, at the Kingsley Nursing & Rehab Center in Kingsley.
Hazel was born June 4, 1911, at James, Iowa, the daughter of John and Mary (Bornholtz) Nuessle. She grew up in the James area attending school at Central in Sioux City, Iowa. She married Fred Junck, Feb. 4, 1929. They had four children, Bernard, Mary Lou, Duane, and LeRoy. Fred and Hazel raised their family and farmed in the Kingsley area.
Hazel was a member of First Lutheran Church, and was very devoted to her family.
Survivors incled Bernard Junck and his wife, Bonnie of Hinton; Mary Lou Mockler and her husband, Bob of Kingsley; Duane Junck and his wife, Pat of Kingsley; and a daughter-in-law,
Connie Junck of Kingsley. Hazel is survived by
16 grandchildren, Jeanne Kuiper and her husband,
Barry; JoLyn Getty and her husband, Tim; Julie Lynott; Bill Mockler and his wife, LoAnn; LeAnn
Collins and her husband, Rob; Linda Bliss and her
husband, Carl; Lois Mockler; Dan Mockler; and Alan Mockler; Andrea Sitzmann and her husband,
Dave; Stacy Bishop; Steve Junck and his wife, Mary; Zena Olerich and her husband, Mike; Denise
Lynott and her husband, Greg; Jeff Junck; and
Troy Junck. 24 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Marion
McMullen of Sonora, California.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Fred; who died Jan. 2, 2000, her son,
LeRoy; one great-granddaughter, Macy Olerich, one great-grandson, Brian Lynott; one sister Pearl Tait; and two brothers, George and Oliver Nuessle.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at First Lutheran Church in Kingsley, with the Rev. Duane Miesner officiating. Burial will be at Kingsley Cemetary. Visitation begins at 2 p.m. Friday, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m., and a prayer service at 7 p.m., all at the Rohde-Earnest Funeral Home in Kingsley.
