Mrs. Sylvester Kale

LE MARS, Iowa – Mrs. Sylvester Kale, 93, of LeMars, died Friday at a LeMars hospital after brief illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John’s American Lutheran Church. The Rev. Tom Lee will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery under direction of the Johnson-Luken Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kale, the former Cynthia Holster, was born on Jan. 31, 1889, at Orange City. She was a long time LeMars resident and attended Western Lutheran (sic Union?) College there. She was a homemaker, piano teacher, and member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a son, Adrian Kale, of Escondido, Calif.
