JAMES J. NOLAN

Furneral services for James J. Nolan, 76, lifelong resident of this community, will be held Friday, February 20, 1959 at St. James Catholic church at 9 a.m. Father L. J. LaVelle will officate and burial will be in Calvary cemetery under direction of the Willgen-Luedtke funeral home.

Mr. Nolan was born January 2, 1883 in LeMars and was a retired farmer. His home was at 121 fifth ave., S. W. He was married to Lucy Jones in 1908 at Ponca, Nebraska.

Survivors incllude six children. Richard R. of Palo Alto, CA; Bernard of Perry, Iowa; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Berner of San Francisco, Ca.; Mrs. Gertrude Arens of Palo Alto; Mrs. Margaret Adney of San Diego, Ca. ; Mrs. Joan Popyack of Palo Alto, Ca. There are 27 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. One sister, Mrs Anna Swain also survives. He was a member of the Elks and Eagles Clubs. Friends may call at the furneral home after 1p.m. Thursday.
