Death Claims Albert Reeves
Member of Well Known Seney Family

Death came Friday to Albert M. Reeves, 75, of Sioux City, retired railroad man, at a Sioux City hospital.

Born in Albion (error--Aurora), Ill., April 30, 1867, he came when a child with his parents to LeMars. They settled on a farm near Seney where he grew up. When a young man he went to work in Sioux City in 1892.

For fifty years he lived in Sioux City and spent most of his lifetime in railway employment as telegrapher, station agent and in train service until retirement about five years ago. He worked for the Omaha and Milwaukee railway companies until retirement.

Married at LeMars, November 21, 1890, he and Mrs. Reeves celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1940.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret, Sioux City; a son, Albert, Jr., Rapid City, S. D., and seven daughters, Mrs. H. T. Kapersen (sic--H. F. Kapsen), Sioux Falls, S. D., Mrs. P. J. Boyle, Hutchinson, Kan., and Mrs. P. R. Wigton, Mrs. H. L. Sherrard, Mrs. G. B. Murphy, Mrs. Milton Brainard (sic--Brainerd) and Miss Arvilla Reeves, all of Sioux City. Three brothers, Joseph of Alberta, Canada; William of Pipestone, Minn., and Fred of Wichita, Kan., and fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services were held Monday in the Cathedral of the Epiphany, Rev. T. M. Parle officiating, and interment was made in Calvary cemetery, Sioux City.
