Mrs. Frank Todd

Merrill, Iowa—Mrs. Frank A. Todd, 89, of Merrill, died Tuesday in a Kingsley nursing home. [Date of death: Tuesday, Aug. 1, 1978, per hand written entry on the scrapbook page]

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Merrill United Methodist Church. The Rev. J. Milton Kinney will officiate. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery at Merrill under direction of the Mauer Funeral Home of LeMars.

Mrs. Todd, the former Nellie Farnham, was born May 8, 1889, at LeMars. She was married Sept. 9, 1910, at LeMars. Mr. Todd died in 1958. A resident of Merrill most of her life, Mrs. Todd, was active in community affairs. She taught school before her marriage. She had served as a member of both the Merrill and Plymouth County school boards and was Merrill’s first librarian. She was a member of the Merrill United Methodist Church and its Women’s Society for Christian Service.

Survivors include one son, Frank A., of Arlington, Va.; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
