Married.
On New Years day, 1880, at the residence of the bride’s parents, near Merrill, by the Rev. H. T. Snyder, pastor of the M.E. Church of Merrill, Mr. John Diediker to Miss Ida E. Tooker, all of Plymouth county, Iowa.

Quite a number of friends were present, some of whom came from Webster City. After the two hearts were made to beat as one, the company gathered around the well spread table to partake of the good things prepared for the occasion. When ample justice had been done the roast beef and turkey, a variety of cakes nicely trimmed and ornamented, and other good things, were passed around.

A nice assortment of wedding presents were bestowed, consisting mostly of glassware. Altogether it was a very enjoyable time—one which will not be forgotten in years to come.
