Danne-Kemitz Wedding.
About sixty guests assembled at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. Kemnitz residing eight miles south of town, on Thursday, November 23, to witness the marriage of their daughter Emma to William Danne. The parlor was beautiful in its decorations of scores of roses and chrysanthemums and fernery. As the sweet strains of the wedding march were played by Miss Carrie Koenig of Le Mars, the bride attended by Miss Lydia Danne and the groom by Mr. Will Kemnitz, took their places under a beautiful arch decorated with flowers and ferns.
The ceremony was performed by Rev A. Z. Heitzberg of the Salem church. The bride's dress was of white silk trimmed with tucks and fancy braid. The bridesmaid wore a becoming shade of pale blue. After the ceremony congratulations were extended to the young people and a splendid wedding dinner was served and mirth and merriment reigned supreme. Though the weather was unpleasant without, there was laughter and joyfulness within. The contracting parties are members of well known families in Stanton township and have hosts of friends who wish them much joy and happiness. They were recipients of many beautiful presents. They will live on a farm owned by Mr. Danne'e father after a short visit with friends and relatives.
Among those who attended the wedding were Mrs. Wherring and daughters Ellen and Edith, of Sioux City; Rev. Wetzell, Defiance, Iowa; and John Baack of Dakota.
