Brunken-Beeck Church Wedding Held Wednesday
Couple Widely Known In Northwest Plymouth County

The marriage of Miss LaVerne Catherina Brunken and John Beeck was solemnized at a pretty ceremony in Christ Lutheran church in Grant township Wednesday, November 5, at 7:30 p. m Rev. Voss officiated at the services. Mrs. John Lubben played the wedding march from Lohengrin. Miss Darlene Frerichs sang "Pilot of Galilee " and "I Love You Truly. " The altar was decorated with white chrysanthemums and pink and white snapdragons. The young couple were attended by Misses Ann a Grosenheider and Anna Oltmanns, cousins of the bride, and Chris Beeck and Albert Beeck, brothers of the groom. The bridesmaids wore pretty gowns of pink and blue taffeta and carried bouquets of white chrysanthemums.

Chris Beeck, cousin of the groom, and Walter Renken, cousin of the bride, were ushers.

The bride was lovely in a white satin gown to entrain. Her lace trimmed fingertip veil fell from a pearl seeded crown. For her flow¬ers she chose a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and roses.

The bride's and groom's mothers wore costumes of soldier blue and black respectively.

Following the church ceremony, a wedding reception was held at the bride's home with 275 guests present. The home decorations were carried out in white, pink and blue, the bride's colors. Misses Ruth Brunken and Dolores Oltmanns received the guests.

Misses Irene Oetken, Alice Oetken, Esther Brunken, Lucille Oetken, Marie Marienau, Marie Dirks, Lor-raine Grosenheider LaVonne Frerichs and Irene Kock acted table waitresses.

Mrs. Beeck is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Brunken of Grant township. Mr. Beeck is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Beeck of Akron. Both are well known and popular in a wide circle of friends. They will reside on a farm in Grant Township,
